GIFT/PROMO CARD FAQS

Where can I go to read the rules about the Frontier Airlines gift or promo card?

How do I use the Frontier Airlines gift or promo card?
It's simple.
  1. Have your Frontier Airlines gift or promo card with you when you go to www.FrontierAirlines.com to book your travel.
  2. From the homepage, select "Gift/Promo Card" as an Alternate Payment Option.
  3. Select your flight and make your way through the booking path until you get to the payment page.
  4. On the payment page, select 'I want to apply a Frontier Airlines gift card or promotional card to my reservation'.
  5. Enter the card number and PIN, and then just click 'Apply'. The gift or promo card amount will be applied to your transaction.

If your gift or promo card amount covers the cost of the booking, you're good to go. Any remaining balance will show up on your receipt page. If the card balance only partially covers the cost, you'll be asked to enter any remaining balance on a credit card. Frontier Airlines tickets purchased with a Frontier Airlines gift or promo card as a form of payment (full or partial) will be booked in the Economy fare type. Review Economy amenities.

What's the difference between a gift card, gift certificate, and promo card?
Paper or plastic? (No, we're not in a grocery store, but you get the idea.) Frontier Airlines gives you options for gift giving.

Gift Cards:
  • Available in two forms: plastic or virtual (emailed)
  • Can be purchased in any whole dollar amount from $25 to $1500
  • Can only be purchased and redeemed on our website www.FrontierAirlines.com/giftcard
  • Never expire
  • May be merged

Gift Certificates:
  • Paper gift certificates
  • Available in increments of $50, $100, $200, or $500
  • Purchased by calling our Reservations Department at 800-432-1359
  • Can only be redeemed via phone reservation or at the airport ticket counter
  • Cannot be used for online booking
  • Expire one year from date of issue

Promotional Card
  • Distributed at various games, events or other methods
  • Can only be redeemed on our website www.FrontierAirlines.com
  • Expire one year after activation (cards are activated by Frontier Airlines prior to distribution)
  • Cannot be merged

If you have a physical plastic card, the back side of your card displays the 16-digit number. To see the PIN number (which is the security code), simply scratch off the silver box. For a virtual card, the number and PIN appear at the bottom right of the email we sent. We suggest you hang onto your card until travel has been completed.

Sign me up! Where can I purchase and use a Frontier Airlines gift card?
The only place for you to purchase and redeem Frontier Airlines gift cards is on our website, www.FrontierAirlines.com/giftcard. Simply follow the easy instructions and soon you'll make some lucky recipient very happy. Please be advised that gift cards purchased online anywhere other than www.FrontierAirlines.com/giftcard, such as a third party auction website, may not be valid. Frontier Airlines is not responsible for honoring invalid gift cards or values.

I'm feeling generous but I don't know when my recipient can travel. How much can I load onto a Frontier Airlines gift card and what's the expiration date?
You can purchase Frontier Airlines gift cards for any whole dollar amount from $25 to $1500. Here's the great news: gift cards never expire, so don't feel rushed to travel tomorrow (although we'd love to have you). Note that once a gift card's balance has been used up, the card is deactivated. We can't reload Frontier Airlines gift cards.

I want to send several gift cards to my team, and I want them to receive their gift today. Is that possible?
There's virtually nothing faster than purchasing a virtual Frontier Airlines gift card. The moment you complete your purchase online, we'll send email(s) to your recipient(s) notifying them of their gift, and we'll activate their cards seven (7) days later. By sending your gift card via email, you'll not only save time - you'll save the shipping cost, too.

I can't remember how much my card balance is. How can I find out?

I am loved. Several people have sent me Frontier Airlines gift cards. I want to consolidate. What's the routine?
Congratulations for having so many admirers. To merge the balances of your gift cards, simply go to the Balance Merge page. Instructions are very straightforward. If you're ready to book travel, be sure to merge your card balances first, since only one gift card can be used per transaction. Promotional cards cannot be merged.

Can I use my Frontier Airlines gift or promo card to buy DIRECTV® during my flight?
No. At this time, Frontier Airlines gift or promo cards can only be used to purchase flights, as well as for taxes and security fees for online mileage redemption through the EarlyReturns® program. We apologize, but gift cards can't be used for in-flight entertainment or liquor purchases. For your convenience, we do accept credit and/or debit cards for these items.

The virtual gift card I sent is lost in cyber space. What can I do?
Not to worry. At least seven days after your original purchase, just go to the Resend Virtual Card page on our website. Type in the order/confirmation number and the last four digits of the credit card used during purchase where indicated. We'll resend the virtual gift card email right away. (Please note: Virtual cards are activated seven days after the original purchase is made)

I ordered a physical card, but it never arrived. Now what?
If your physical card was lost in transit, the good news is that it can be tracked down. Just call 866-956-0702 with your order confirmation number in hand.

What if I have many passengers in the same transaction?
If using a Frontier Airlines gift or promo card while booking multiple passengers in a single transaction, the total value of the card will be divided evenly among all individuals included in the booking. This may result in a residual value of a few cents on the card if the amount cannot be divided evenly among all passengers. If you would like the gift or promo card to be applied only to a single traveler's ticket, please book that traveler in a separate transaction.
