Are passports required for International travel?
Yes, all travelers leaving or entering the United States and Mexico or Costa Rica are required to present a valid passport.
How many bags can I take to Costa Rica?
Passengers traveling on Frontier Airlines to or from Mexico or Costa Rica may check two bags for free. Excess items will be charged a fee. Keep in mind those items must weigh under 50 lbs or be under 62 linear inches (height + width + depth) or other charges may apply. Click here to see a fee chart for international baggage.
I'm going to Costa Rica for a while and don't know when I'm returning, how can I prove "return or onward travel?"
Buy a Classic Plus ticket. There are no fees to change it if your return dates change (although there may be a difference in the basic fare price) and it is refundable if you find a better deal while you are in Costa Rica. The Classic Plus ticket may only be purchased for Costa Rica by calling Reservations or at an airport ticket counter. There are no ticketing service fees applied to Classic Plus tickets.
