about Denver
Gateway to the Rockies, the Mile-High City, and home to Frontier Airlines! Denver is a friendly city that offers numerous things to do - for the outdoor enthusiast, the indoor type and for everyone in between.
When you arrive in Denver you may notice that the air is thin. Yes, being a mile above sea level does make a difference. Be aware that you might feel tired until you adapt to the altitude. In addition to being thin, the air in Colorado is dry, which means you'll need to drink plenty of non-alcoholic fluids to stay hydrated - especially if you plan on being active. Make sure to put on that sunscreen too, both for the protection and to add moisture to your skin (this is your mother speaking).
We have a saying about Denver's weather: If you don't like it, just wait a minute - it'll change. It's true. Colorado's weather can change quickly, so please be prepared with the appropriate change of clothing.
Take a look at www.denver.org or www.colorado.com for great information on hotels, getting around, eating and general things to do in Denver.
We welcome you to our home!
