HOW TO GET NOTICED

We all could use some support when job hunting, right? We want you to succeed, so we've put together some helpful hints for interviewing.

#10 - Use a firm handshake, but don't feel you need to demonstrate your Herculean strength. One of Frontier's values is safety, because people are priceless (and so are their hands).

#9 - Ask questions about the department. Also, relate your answers to the interviewer and his or her department.

#8 - Focus on sharing your achievements that are most relevant to the position.

#7 - Smile! We pride ourselves on keeping our customers happy and it helps when our employees are happy as well.

#6 - Keep your answers short and straightforward. If you're concerned an answer isn't complete enough, simply offer to expand.

#5 - Sit up straight during the interview (this is your mother speaking).

#4 - Make appropriate eye contact.

#3 - Be polite to everyone. You never know who may influence or provide feedback for hiring decision (receptionists and administrative assistants). One of Frontier's values is respect, so be sure to display it at all times.

#2 - If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything. Those are great words to live by. Don't make negative comments about previous employer, managers or co-workers. Negative comments may be perceived by the interviewer as a lack of respect.

...and the #1 tip on how to get noticed is

Arrive on time for your interview, actually a few minutes early. Let's face it, we're an airline and our planes need to be on time. In the industry we call it "on-time performance," so if you aren't there and checked in, we'll leave without you.

Good luck on your job search!
