General information on Fare Options

For general information on Fare Options, visit our Fare Options Overview and/or our Fare Options FAQs.

Frontier is working with our GDS partners to make sure Fare Options are displayed in all GDS systems; however, the displays of the fare structure may be limited. If you use Sabre, Apollo, Worldspan, or Amadeus, the fares are available in your system. All other GDS systems are able to display Economy fares only at this time, with the exception of Y fares, which are treated as Classic Plus

For information on how to display Fare Options in the Sabre system, click here.

For information on how to display Fare Options in the Apollo system, click here.

For information on how to display Fare Options in the Worldspan system, click here.

For information on how to display Fare Options in the Amadeus system, click here.

SABRE
For Sabre users, Fare Options can be displayed using the following Sabre native commands to price each of the three Frontier Fare Families:

  1. Economy Fare Family use WPNCB (calculates the lowest fare)
  2. Classic Fare Family use WPNCB‡XS‡PNEG (XS calculates the lowest fare applicable without minimum/maximum stay)
  3. Classic Plus Fare Family use WPNCB‡XP‡PNEG (XP calculates the lowest fare applicable without change fee restrictions)

APOLLO
For Apollo users, Fare Options can be displayed using the following Apollo native commands to price each of the three Frontier Fare Families:

Fare group

Price as booked
Economy Fares
$BB
Classic Fares
$BB*NEG/:P/NX
Classic Plus Fares
$BB*NEG/:P/PE00

To store the fares, replace the $BB with T:$B

Classic and Classic Plus fares may not be combined with other airlines. If the itinerary includes other airlines, price, store, and ticket the Classic and Classic Plus segments separately.

**NEG or :P is the suggested best practice to ensure that the private Classic and Classic Plus fares are returned since the public Economy fare is lower.

WORLDSPAN
For Worldspan users, Fare Options can be displayed using the following Worldspan native commands to price each of the three Frontier Fare Families:

Fare group

Price itinerary as booked

Low Fare Finder Price and Rebook Itinerary

4PLFBFSR
Classic Fares With PTC in Name Field
4PFSR.SR
4PLFBFSR.SR
Without PTC in Name Field
4PPWEB#FSR.SR
4PLFBPWEB#FSR.SR

4PFSR.SR#FNP
4PLFBFSR.SR#FNP

AMADEUS
For Amadeus users, Fare Options can be displayed using the following Amadeus native commands to price each of the three Frontier Fare Families:

  1. Economy Fare Family use FXR (best buy - calculates the lowest fare)
  2. Classic Fare Family use FXR/R,U,*NMM (calculates the lowest fare applicable without minimum/maximum stay)
  3. Classic Plus Fare Family use FXR/R,U,*RF (calculates the lowest fare applicable without change fee restrictions)

Your GUI can also be programmed to pull the fare automatically.

Important information regarding the pending retirement of the Midwest Airlines YX Airline Code and 453 Ticket Stock

Overview

As of November 1, 2010 the combined Frontier/Midwest network is available for sale only as Frontier through all channels with the F9 code. The YX code, although still active in the GDS, is suppressed for original ticket issuance.

Please familiarize yourself with the following information related to the transition:

Tickets booked on YX/453 for future travel with no changes/refunds

These tickets will continue to be honored for travel on Frontier, neither ticket reissuance nor change in the PNR is necessary. Customers holding a YX/453 ticket may check-in 24 hours prior to departure at frontierairlines.com, an airport kiosk, or with a check-in agent, as long as they have the Frontier record locator associated with their flight.

Exchanges for tickets booked on YX/453

Frontier Airlines'; Agency Desk is happy to assist in exchanges; including both totally unused tickets to be applied toward new itineraries, and/or tickets with an itinerary change request. The Agency Desk can be reached at 800-243-6297 from 7am to 7pm Mountain Time, Monday through Friday.

Refund requests for fully refundable YX/453 tickets

Fully refundable YX/453 tickets may be refunded via your normal ARC process.

Effective October 1, 2010 all general agency questions should be directed to our Denver-based agency team at 800-243-6297
